The tactile surface is the landmarks with reliefs (protrusions) designed in the form of sticks in order to enable visually impaired or low vision individuals to reach their destination safely with the help of a walking stick they use. These surfaces are applied parallel to the walking direction. In addition, the non-slip feature of these products reduces the danger for the disabled person and provides a safer walking environment.

Warning surface signs are landmarks produced in the form of truncated cones or domes used to indicate the obstacles that visually impaired or low vision individuals will encounter on the walking path. It is used in places that will create a danger for visually impaired individuals such as level difference, door entrances and exits, front of stairs, front of elevators and so on. In addition, the non-slip feature of these products reduces the danger for individuals with disabilities and provides a safer walking environment.

Color is another very sensitive issue for tactile surfaces. The types of tactile surfaces provide guidance not only for individuals who are completely blind, but also for individuals with low vision. That’s why the choice of color is very important. It has to be noticeable to individuals with low vision. The visual contrast on the tactile surface is that the product can be easily noticed on the floor on which the application will be made. Thus, individuals with low vision will be able to notice and use surfaces. It would be appropriate to choose a product by considering the visual contrast between the floor and the product while choosing the tangible surface.

Our Sensible Surface products have TS 13720, TSEK 484 and the First CE certificate in Turkey. It should be produced in accordance with TS ISO 23599, TS 13536 Implementation standards. On the Sensible Surfaces, the product dimensions should be 4 pieces in the 300x300mm area of the parallel-arranged guide surface and after application, the height should be 5 mm indoors and 8mm outdoors. The parallel array stimulating surface should be 25 in a 300x300mm area and after application, the height should be 5 mm indoors and 8mm outdoors.
